Clare Lisapo

Headmistress

My name is Clare Lisapo and I am a proud Zambian lady. I was born and brought up in the Delevu community. I decided to become a teacher when I was very young. I decided to become a teacher to help my home community. We haven’t had a school since Zambia was granted independence in 1964. It was very difficult for our friends to attend school before Twabane due to the huge distances between our community and schools. Some children were lucky to have relatives who lived near schools they could attend but for the most part, this was not the case. As an orphaned and vulnerable child, I decided to become a teacher so that one day I could fulfil my dream and help children like me. I aim to make education a right for all in my community and across Zambia instead of just a privilege for some. I love how Twabane Luzibo helps the poor and vulnerable children of Muke and Delevu Villages as well as providing unity within our community. My hobbies outside of school are singing, dancing, fashion and design.

Dorothy Nzabuaka

School Teacher

I chose to become a teacher to build a brighter future for our children. I love seeing the children of Delevu grow their knowledge and skills. Whilst not teaching, I love listening to music, singing, reading and dancing. The special thing about Twabane is that it teaches the children how to learn effectively, providing them with skills for life. Going to school keeps our children safe and is especially important in protecting our vulnerable children. I am using money from my salary to further my education and am so happy that what I learn can be passed on to the future generations of Zambia. I love working at Twabane and can’t wait to see what the children will go on to achieve!

Sebastian Nyambe

School Teacher

My name is Sebastian, and I am a Zambian male born and raised in the Delevu community. I chose to become a teacher at Twabane Luzibo School because I was disturbed to see how much our children were suffering without a school. The nearest school is too far away for our children to reach, and I could not bear to see the huge disadvantage they were put at because of this. The children are so motivated and really want to learn and I love seeing how our school changes lives. Outside of school, my hobbies include dancing and sports.
